If you can help please call Wendy on 952037095 / 660271984 or Simone on 619903815

CAS need someone urgently who has a car fitted with a towbar who would be
prepared to tow our trailer to the Nerja Car Boot each Sunday. The trailer
has to be delivered on site by 8.30am and collected by around 1.30pm The
income CAS receives from the Car Boot is critical to the running of CAS and
the welfare of the abandoned animals. If you can help please contact Wendy

NEWS FROM THE PRESIDENT

Another few months have passed since our last blog. The flow of abandoned animals has not slowed down and as the crisis continues our finances are still dire.
We are lucky to have good partners in the German and Dutch charities and we are regulary sending 10/12 dogs to their new homes. The problem is finding enough flights. If anyone is travelling to Hamburg, Munich, Dusseldorf, Berlin or Vienna contact us. There is no cost involved.
The cat problems do not go away. The cat catchers have been out taking cats from Torrox and Competa and charging to get them back although they are often microchiped. Please let us know if you are having any problems with the Town Halls or Police. We understand that the Spanish Constitution states that " Cats have the right to roam", Trouble is finding where to get a copy of the constitution and having good enough Spanish to comprehend it! Also in Comares 24 cats have been poisened beside the bins. No one of course knows anything, but the Town Hall is suspected.
We are still having pups dumped in the bins, even one with its dead mother. Sadly even with the best care it died.

We still need fosterers as we do not have the money to pay kennels. If anyone would like to sponsor a dog for a week/month in kennels we would be very grateful.

I would like to thank you all for your continuing support. If Anyone would like to run a fundraising event for us please contact myself on 952037095 or Patsy 616084232 who is now co-ordinating our fundraising.

Thank you again

Wendy Thorne
Cas President

Hi, I'm Kate, who rang you just now. I think my first email must have gone into your junk folder, but I've now sent two more, about the Hopalong Doggerty Podenca and to say that I can try to find the cat law for you, as I speak Spanish and am a member of Defenmsa felina, Sevilla.
Kind regards - check your junk mail,
Kate
