With a wave of recent publicity, people are confused about where they stand under Spain’s “dangerous dog” law. Or even which law applies to their dog.
Our first problem here is that the “potentially dangerous” list is not the same in all of Spain’s individual regions and can differ even from one town to another. When you arrive with your dog, you must enquire at the Town Hall where you live, to find out the exact local requirements which will permit you to own and walk your dog legally. Registration of the animal will be required, along with a special insurance policy.
